This site provides overview and documentation for the Event Informatics Service. This service is under development by the Department of Spatial Information Science and Engineering at the University of Maine. The goals of this project are to define the necessary and sufficient components of an event, establish methods for monitoring and surveillance of event occurrences in time-ordered data, and formalizing analytical methods that model an environment with events as the basis.
